"The Night I Died" is a program to discourage underage drinking - sponsored by:

  • Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD)
  • The Northeast Alabama Center for Community Initiatives (a non-profit organization)
  • The Substance Abuse Prevention Advisory Coalition (SAPAC)

The event staged at Ohatchee High School was a dramatization of an alcohol related traffic accident, and subsequent rescue operations. Local area first responders volunteered their time to create a realistic representation of the rescue.

We produced a DVD of the program for use in Calhoun County area high schools and both 30-second and 60-second PSA (public service announcement) versions that air on local television stations. Mr. Len Jackson, our student worker at the time, was responsible for editing the project. Here is the DVD version that earned a Telly Award.

The 30-second and 60-second PSA versions are also hosted on YouTube.
