"The Night I Died" is a program sponsored by Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), The Northeast Alabama Center for Community Initiatives (a non-profit organization), and the Substance Abuse Prevention Advisory Coalition (SAPAC) to discourage underage drinking. The event was staged at Ohatchee High School and consists of a live action dramatization of an alcohol related traffic accident, and subsequent rescue operations. Local area first responders volunteered their time to create a realistic representation of the rescue procedures following such an accident.

We videotaped the event, and our former student worker, Mr. Len Jackson, edited the project into a DVD that will be shown to Calhoun County area high schools. The program was subsequently edited into 30- and 60-second PSA (public service announcement) versions that air on local television stations, including WEAC-TV24. The embedded video below is the DVD version that earned a Telly Award.

The 30-second and 60-second PSA versions are also hosted on YouTube.
