Vice President of Student Senate
JSU Home » Student Life

Greetings Gamecocks and friends! My name is Brett Johnson and I am honored to serve as Jacksonville State University’s SGA Vice President of Student Senate. I am a native of Hokes Bluff, Alabama and am a junior studying Political Science and Communication.  My first step into the SGA was in Freshman Forum where I also served as Vice President. As the SGA Vice President of Student Senate I am the Presiding Officer of the Student Senate which consists of 35 Student Senators that are elected each spring by the student body. The Student Senate is the legislative body for the SGA and is charged with resolving any issues facing the student body through legislative procedure. The SGA Vice President of Student Senate is also the second-in-command for the SGA and works closely with the SGA President and University administration. I am extremely passionate about serving my fellow Gamecocks and I hope that this year is the best one yet for the student body and the entire JSU family! Go Gamecocks!!!

Thank you,

Brett A. Johnson
