How can ROTC help pay for college or graduate school?
The Department of Military Science (ROTC) offers to undergraduate students two-, three-, and four-year scholarships that cover the cost of tuition and fees, and provide $900 per year for the books. Two-year scholarships are available for students interested in attending graduate school. Dormitory scholarships are also available to eligible students. ROTC students also earn the following tax-free spending allowance each month:
| $300 - freshmen | $350 - sophomores | $450 - juniors | $500 - seniors |
Tuition assistance and extra pay are available for cadets who join the Alabama National Guard or the U.S. Army Reserve.
