As a state institution, Jacksonville State University is subject to the requirements of the State of Alabama Competitive Bid Law. This law requires that all purchases and/or contracts for labor, services, materials, equipment, and supplies within a fiscal year that will total $15,000 or more be bid.

Competitive, sealed bids will be requested by the Office of Purchasing on any item or group of like items costing $15,000 or more annually. Vendors will have approximately two weeks from the time bid requests are sent to submit bids to the Office of Purchasing. Bids received will be opened by the Director of Purchasing (or a designee) at the date and time stated in the bid specifications.
