Study hard. . .

Physics is the study of the natural world: how things work, why they behave as they do and where they came from. If you've ever looked at the stars and wondered how they shine or how they were formed, you've been asking physics questions. If you've ever wondered what makes a rainbow or the sky blue, physics has the answers. If you've ever wondered how electricity powers cars or refrigerators, physics deals with those, too. Physics uses experiments and mathematics to answer all these questions and more. To find out more about Jacksonville State University's Physics Program, try the links on this page.

Course requirements for a minor in Physics include:

PHS 211, 213, 212, 214, 301 and nine (9) hours in Physics 300+.

These courses will be selected in conference with a Physics program advisor.
