| Dig for information Anthropology is a broad-based field of study. Its subject matter is divided into three themes. One theme is the analysis of primitive and modern cultures throughout the world or what is called cultural anthropology. Another theme is the examination of ancient peoples and civilizations or the field of archaeology. The other theme is physical anthropology that studies evidence of human biological evolution derived from the fossil record of Africa, Europe, and Asia. Students may study anthropology to develop expertise leading to careers in archaeology or to supplement a liberal arts education. |
