Jacksonville State University's Certificate in Geographic Information Systems program is designed for students that do not want to pursue a graduate degree at this time, but would like to expand their knowledge of Geographic Information Systems. A student who already holds a Bachelor's degree may opt for a "Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems" by fulfilling the specific course requirements in the Geographic Information Systems concentration. Courses taken in the certificate program may be used later in the MPA with the geographic information systems concentration.
Hours to Complete: Total of 15 semester hours of course work in geographic information systems courses is required.
