Blake Hunter earned his B.S. degree in Computer Information Systems and Master's Degree in Public Administration from Jacksonville State University. While in school he worked as an aide for the Department of Information Technology in the Academic Computing and Network Support group and also worked as a technical specialist at Honda Manufacturing of Alabama.  After graduating he began working in the Department of Information Technology as a computer programmer. He worked in the Application and System Support group to meet the University’s reporting needs and administered the University’s document management software, ApplicationXtender.

He joined the Office of Planning and Research in November 2013. Since joining the Office of Institutional Research and Analytics Blake has resumed responsibility for IPEDs and ACHE mandated reporting. Along with completing mandated reporting Blake supports university administrators, rankings agencies, schools, departments and programs by providing data to be used in rankings calculations and decision making.
