New Format for Campus Mass E-Mails
The University News Bureau unveils a new look with today's edition of the JSU Digest -- the daily compendium of campus announcements. Look for more improvements in the near future.

Change in Distribution of Payroll Checks

Within the next few months, Jacksonville State University will change its method of distributing payroll checks. The checks and automated deposit stubs will be sent to departments for distribution on the morning of payday. Checks for employees who do not come to campus may be mailed after they arrive in the department. It is estimated that the change will save JSU $7,000 a year in postage. In the event a bi-weekly payday falls on an official University holiday, the checks and deposit stubs will be mailed on the day before payday to home addresses. The administration encourages everyone to take advantage of the direct deposit option, which is faster. The University has made arrangements with some area banks to provide free checking to employees who wish to use a bank account as a clearing account for their paycheck. The distribution change is expected in March or April -- the exact date will be announced. Should you have questions concerning the change, please contact Allyson Barker at extension 5002.
