02/02/2016

In consultation with the National Weather Service and the Calhoun County EMA, Jacksonville State University continues to monitor the forecast for Central Alabama for tonight and tomorrow morning, Feb. 3. Based upon this most recent forecast, classes at Jacksonville State University will go on as scheduled on Wednesday morning.

We will continue to monitor weather conditions throughout the evening and are prepared to make further announcements should the forecast change and conditions worsen. Those who live in outlying areas are encouraged to monitor road conditions in their immediate areas and use their best judgment before traveling to and from campus in the morning.

Any weather statements relevant to JSU's operations will be shared on the JSU website, via JSU E-Alert and email, through local print and broadcast media, and on the university's social media platforms. All students, faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to enroll in the University's Emergency Alert System.
