JSU Classes Cancelled for Wednesday, February 25

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for our area on Wednesday, February 25 beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at midnight CST.

Due to this approaching storm system, all classes at Jacksonville State University on Wednesday have been cancelled. Only essential employees should report to work on Wednesday. 

All campus dining facilities except for Jack Hopper Dining Hall and Wow Wingery will be closed on Wednesday. 

The Jack Hopper Dining Hall will operate on its weekend schedule on Wednesday as follows: Brunch from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.; and Dinner from 4-7 p.m.

Wow Wingery will also have adjusted hours on Wednesday. Wow will be open from noon - 10 p.m.

The RMC Student Health Center will be closed on Wednesday. Any medical emergencies should be reported to the University Police Department  (ext. 6000) and arrangements will be made for transportation.

The Gamecock Express will not run Wednesday.

The English Competency Exam scheduled for Wednesday evening has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 4 at 3 p.m.

Jacksonville State softball team's home opener against Alabama on Wednesday has also been cancelled. No makeup date has been set.

A decision about Thursday operations will be made on Wednesday by 5 p.m.

All JSU students and employees are encouraged to sign up for the university’s E-Alert system.

Any weather statements relevant to JSU's operations will be shared on the JSU website, via JSU E-Alert and email, through local print and broadcast media, and on the university's social media platforms. All students, faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to enroll in the University's Emergency Alert System.
