Health Fair 2014- 12 years of SUCCESS! Making America Healthier One Student at a Time

Counseling Services, University Housing and Residence Life, Health Services Center (Project Vortex), The Fair Housing Agency of Alabama, and the JSU Peer Educators will sponsor an annual health fair on Thursday, September 11, in the TMB auditorium from 10:00 am -2:00 pm. The event will host agencies from around the state providing information and services to the campus and local community. 

Free services include HIV/AIDS testing, blood pressure checks, pressure point massages and sickle cell testing. Free asthma screenings, lung volume screenings, bone density screenings, and depression screenings will also be available. Please be aware that a large turnout is expected, and free services will be administered on a first come, first served basis.

Organizations participating in this year's Health Fair include: Dr. David Wade (Chiropractor), A Better Body Chiropractic, NAMI Jacksonville, 2nd Chance, Inc., Sav~A~Life, Agency for Substance Abuse Prevention, Garrett Counseling and Consulting, Health Services Center, Carra Smith of Keller Williams Realty Group, Quality of Life Health Services, Calhoun County Health Department, Calhoun County Extension Services, Sarrell Regional Dental Center, Mary Kay Cosmetics, American Red Cross and the Sickle Cell Foundation.

Participating JSU organizations include the RMC Student Health Center, Disability Support Services, Wellness Center, Peer Educators, Counseling Services, Active Minds, Kappa Alpha Psi, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Fraternity, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, and the JSU NAACP Chapter.
