A Cappella Choir Asks for Yard Sale Items and Book Donations for Upcoming Fundraiser


The JSU Choral Activities Area of the David L. Walters Department of Music is seeking donations for two upcoming fundraisers to help raise travel funds for members of A Cappella Choir who will be traveling to New York City in March to perform at Carnegie Hall.

The first fundraiser is a yard sale that will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the parking lot of the Priceless IGA Supermarket, 802 Pelham Road South. This is the second yard sale that the choir will have held at this location. Donations of household items, clothing, electronics and other yard sale items will be gratefully appreciated

The second fundraiser is a Homecoming Book Sale held on Friday, October 31st and Saturday, November 1st. On Friday, the sale will be held on the Mason Hall porch from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday’s sale will be held at the JSU Alumni House from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Donations of books, sheet music, and especially items with a JSU connection, will be gratefully accepted.

Donations may be brought to Mason Hall prior to the sale. You may also call Dr. Corbin, JSU Director of Choral Activities, to arrange for items to be picked up (dependent on availability).
