JSU CED Staff Attends Annual Alabama League of Municipalities Convention

05/20/2014

JSU CED Staff Members Jennifer Swafford, program coordinator,  and Jeffrey Hooie, research analyst, attended and exhibited at the 2014 Annual Alabama League of Municipalities (ALM) Convention held at the Arthur R. Outlaw Convention Center in Mobile on May 3-6.

The League is a nonpartisan membership association of more than 440 cities and towns in Alabama.  The annual convention is the League's signature event, a meeting and exhibition that brings together more than 1,000 Alabama mayors, council-members, appointed municipal officials, municipal personnel and guests.

The CED booth in the Exhibition Hall was open to convention attendees on Sunday, May 4 and Monday, May 5.  Information was presented regarding the services provided and offered by the CED as well as the College of Commerce & Business Administration, the online MBA program, the Small Business Development Center, the Career Services Center, and information that encompassed JSU as a whole, including undergraduate and graduate programs of study.

The 2015 ALM Convention will be held in Tuscaloosa. Our center will once again be able to market our services, and the numerous programs offered by the university, to a large number of individuals and state entities.
