JSU’s Emergency Management and Campus Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) instructors will be hosting a two-day training event with fifteen AmeriCorps volunteers from the Impact Alabama AmeriCorps Program and the Calhoun County AmeriCorps Initiative.
The training will take place on April 21 and 22, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in JSU’s McClellan Room. The training will consist of eight units to certify these AmeriCorps volunteers to be CERT members. Topics in the training program include disaster preparedness, fire safety, disaster medical operations and urban search and rescue.
