College courses leave the classroom and hit the beach, marsh and water during the summer at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab (DISL).  Located on Dauphin Island, a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico, the DISL is a consortium of 22 colleges and universities in the state of Alabama.  As the marine science campus of these institutions, the DISL offers summer college courses for credit in topics ranging from “Dolphins and Whales” to “Marine Aquaculture” to “Shark and Ray Biology.”

DISL offers courses in two or four week sessions, starting May 12 to August 15. Deadline for priority registration is February 14, 2014.  For more information, visit http://univ-prog.disl.org/downloads/pdf/bulletin.pdf.
