The 2013 Calhoun County Basketball Tournament has been postponed on Thursday due to inclement weather at Jacksonville State University, and the tournament schedule has been revised with the championship games being moved to Monday, January 21. All games scheduled for Thursday have been moved to Friday, January 18 at Pete Mathews Coliseum on the Jacksonville State campus, according to host Jacksonville Christian Academy.
Friday’s games will feature Piedmont vs Ohatchee girls at 4 p.m., followed by Anniston vs Weaver boys at 5:30, followed by Oxford vs Jacksonville girls at 7 p.m., and Pleasant Valley vs White Plains boys will play the 8 p.m. game on Friday evening. Saturday’s revised schedule includes the girls semi-finals to be played at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. at a site to be announced (probably Alexandria High School), while the boys semi-finals will be played at Pete Mathews Coliseum at Jacksonville State, beginning at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. The finals of the 2013 Calhoun County Basketball Tournament will now be played on Monday at Pete Mathews Coliseum with the girls set to tip at 5:30 p.m. and the boys final set for 7:30 p.m.
