Richard Armstrong Vocal Competition Features Masterclass and Benefit Concert


The Richard Armstrong Vocal Competition invites you, students and friends to the "Masterclass," and "Benefit Concert."

Masterclass: Nov. 2nd Friday at 1:45pm in the David L. Walters Music Department (Mason Hall). Free admission. Current JSU voice students receive constructive advice from vocal expert Dr. Ginger Beazley, founder of Ars Nova and voice teacher to Metropolitan Opera stars Susanna Philips, and Angela Brown.

Benefit Concert co-hosted by Fox 6 News Reporter Melonie Posey and Dr. Richard Armstrong: Nov. 4th Sunday at 6:00pm in the First United Methodist Church of Anniston. $9.00 donation appreciated. Alumni Jarrod Lee, Estefania Cuevas Wilcox, Haley Arrington and others return for a night of music from Mozart to Gershwin. All proceeds benefit the Armstrong Awards for 2013 vocal competition.

The Vocal Competition is postponed until Spring 2013.
