Watch the Rare Transit of Venus from HCL on June 5

05/24/2012

View the transit of Venus!  On June 5, Venus will pass in front of the sun.  We will have a telescope set up on the top floor of Houston Cole library so that you can watch as Venus crosses the face of the Sun.  The transit will begin at 5:09 p.m. and will still be in progress when the sun sets.  This rare astronomical event will not be repeated until Dec. 2117.

This event is free to the public.
