Instruction Sessions Provided by The Library Instruction Committee During Fall Semester   

 

This fall, the Library Instruction Committee, chaired by Charlcie Pettway  Vann, has planned a series of library instruction sessions to promote and familiarize students, faculty and staff with library services starting at 12:00 noon in the Electronic classroom on the ground floor (basement) of the Houston Cole Library.  Feel free to bring your lunch to the instructions. The sessions are as follows: September 8th- General Tips on using the catalog and databases- Charlcie Pettway Vann. She will illustrate how to navigate the newly-updated library catalog and homepage. September 15th-Remote Access Services-Ms. Jodi Poe, Distance education librarian, will show patrons how to use remote access services and other library databases from home. September 25th- MLA citation and the new APA citation style-Mr. Harry Nuttall and Ms. Laurie Charnigo Phillips will teach the proper way to use  MLA and APA citation styles. September 30th-ALLIES and Interlibrary Loan -Ms. Carley Suther, a Fine Arts Librarian. The month will wrap up with a presentation on the consortium borrowing agreement between Auburn, AUM, UA, and UAB and tips on using WORLDCAT. Be sure to look for upcoming events to be announced in October and November.
