» Purpose
The purpose of the Friends of Houston Cole Library shall be to promote an appreciation among the University constituency and the community at large, of the importance of the Library as the center of academic life at Jacksonville State University. It will accomplish this by: serving as a medium for those who share an enthusiasm for books and scholarship to further their knowledge of such matters; by promoting an understanding of the role of Houston Cole Library and its collections; and by providing a means to increase the resources of Houston Cole Library by attracting gifts of books and manuscripts, donations, and bequests to supplement the normal operating funds of the Library.
