As a mathematics educator, Mr. Gladen believes "learning by doing" is the best method of teaching. Mr. Gladen teaches through short presentations, basic definitions and theory. That is followed with examples of solution techniques that can be used in problem solving. Problem assignments are made and followed with at least 50% of class time allocated for task completion.
Students with stronger mathematics backgrounds often complete the assignment in class and appreciate the blessing of no homework. Students that have weaker mathematics backgrounds have the advantage of immediate in-class help. This approach has proven very effective. Most students achieve a level of personal success that allows them to meet their goals. Additionally, many students find they are able to overcome long-standing "math phobias" such as - "I just can't do math."
