JSU's Center for Information Security and Assurance (CISA) is dedicated to advancing the existing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) knowledge areas.
The Center provides an avenue for research and education in the following:
- Computer and network security
- Digital forensics
- Risk assessment and mitigation
- Disaster recovery and management
- Security regulations and compliance
- Information security management
The Mathematical, Computing, and Information Sciences (MCIS) Department received previous funding for scholarship grants for students from the National Science Foundation and National Security Agency. These programs prepare students to enter the workforce and increase America's position in these fields of study.
External funding and support for this much-needed research area are critical to continue moving JSU forward in the STEM fields.
