The Office of Internal Audit is diligent in staying abreast of developments throughout the Internal Audit profession as well as the field of Higher Education. Security breaches and fraudulent activities are pervasive throughout the country, and growing at an alarming rate. We feel that the more we are informed of these events the greater our collective awareness is of what and how these acts occur.
As much as 80% of all fraudulent activity is caught when conscientious employees alert auditors to activities they believe to be inappropriate. We encourage you to refer to the external sources below and keep us informed of your concerns.
