JSU Home » IEP Home » Undergraduate Admission Requirements
First-time freshman: graduation from high school with at least a standard diploma or successful completion of the GED along with an acceptable score on the ACT or SAT. (Students who are 25 years old are exempt from the ACT/SAT). The minimum score on the ACT is a composite score of 17. The minimum score on the SAT is a combined verbal/critical reading and math score of 750. Transcripts and test scores must be mailed directly to JSU from the high school or testing agency.
* Transfer students with 24 transferable semester hours: must be in good standing at the last college attended. Must have official transcripts mailed directly to JSU from each college attended.
Transfer students with fewer than 24 transferable semester hours: must be in good standing at the last college attended. Must also meet first-time freshman requirements listed above. Must have official college transcripts, high school transcript, and test scores mailed directly to JSU from the colleges, high school, and testing agency.

1. Fill out the Undergraduate on-line admissions application
2. Submit the completed application with your $30 application fee.
3. See the above admission requirements for your category of admission and send the appropriate documentation requested.
