JSU Home » IEP Home » Emergency Management Concentration
Jacksonville State University offers a concentration in Emergency Management as an option under the MPA. The concentration balances conceptual knowledge in emergency management with skill acquisition in crisis management, hazard assessment and other analytic and management skills. All Emergency Management concentration courses are offered distance learning.
Students interested in the EM Concentration with the MPA degree need to contact the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at 256-782-5650 for further information about all degree and admissions requirements.
EM Concentration
A total of 15 graduate semester hours is required for the EM Concentration. Emergency Management courses are offered via the Internet only. Students are urged to work with their assigned advisor for appropriate class scheduling.

DISTANCE LEARNING AT JSU
All of the requirements for this degree can be met without attending any sessions on campus. JSU is uniquely qualified to meet your distance learning needs. A pioneer in the field, with over 1,200 of JSU's student body of 8,900 students are pursuing course work via distance learning.
TRANSFER CREDITS
Up to 6 hours of credit can be granted on transfer pending the approval. Please contact an MPA graduate advisor concerning transfer credit.
ADVISEMENT AND REGISTRATION
Advisement is required for all students accepted into the program. If considering application to the MPA with a concentration in Emergency Management program, students must contact Dr. Dan Krejci in the Public Administration Department at 256-782-5650.
