Verification of Employment

Requests for employment verification in writing or by telephone should be directed to the Employee Records Unit.  Human Resources limits verbal verification to name, title, dates of employment, position and salary. Written verification of salary needed for mortgage applications, wage garnishment, and credit applications, etc. must have signed consent by the employee.

Requests will be processed within 48 to 72 hours. These requests should be faxed to Employee Records at (256) 782-5007.

For an Employment Verification Letter request, the employee needs to fill out the “Employment Verification Request Form” available on Employee Self-Service:

  1. Login.
  2. Navigate to: Human Resources Self Service > Employee Self Service > Employee Forms.
  3. Select Employee Records Forms > Employment Verification Form.
  4. Enter all the corresponding information.
  5. Click the “Submit” button.
