Job Abandonment

While any period of absence or unauthorized leave may call for disciplinary action, three (3) consecutive working days of absence without notice or satisfactory explanation will be accepted as a resignation and a forfeiture of any accumulated benefits. A Leave Request/Record Form must be completed any time an employee is not at work, regardless of whether the employee is classified as exempt or non-exempt.  Violation of this requirement may subject the employee to disciplinary action.
