The Department of University Housing and Residence Life operates and maintains four suites (doubles) in Patterson Hall that may be utilized by any Jacksonville State University department, faculty, or staff member. If you would like to make a suite reservation, complete the information below. Your request will be considered as quickly as possible, and you will receive confirmation within 48 hours. * If payment will be remitted through a departmental internal transaction voucher, the Department of University Housing and Residence Life will send an invoice to the requesting department or faculty/staff member. When payment is made, please send a copy of the transaction voucher to the Department of University Housing and Residence Life. For all other methods of payment, the Department of University Housing and Residence Life will require full payment in advance. IF RECEIPT OR A COPY OF THE TRANSACTION VOUCHER IS NOT RECEIVED IN THE HOUSING OFFICE, THE BILL WILL STILL SHOW AS OUTSTANDING.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Please take a moment to read the following rules and regulations regarding use of the Patterson Hall suites. The Department of University Housing and Residence Life reserves the right to deny use of its facilities to anyone. The cost per night for a suite is $55.00. After completion of this form, please click the "Submit Request" button.

Issuing of Suite Keys(s):
  • One key will be issued to the "Requestor." Keys may be picked up in the Department of University Housing and Residence Life office beginning at 8:00 a.m. and no later than 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Keys will only be issued to a JSU faculty or staff member.

  • Check-In Time: Guests may occupy the suite no earlier than 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival.

  • Check-Out Time: Guest must vacate the suite no later than 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure.
Returning Suite Key(s):
  • Patterson Hall: The requestor or guest may return the suite key on the day of departure by either dropping it into the "Suite Key Return Box" located in the lobby on the 1st floor of Patterson Hall, or by taking it to the Department of University Housing and Residence Life, located at 103 Bibb Graves Hall, provided the day of departure is a business day. Keys should be returned by 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure. Guests will not be housed in Patterson Hall during University holidays or between semester breaks.

  • Suite: Students are not permitted to rent suites. Any minor in the facility must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian who is a registered guest; minors must be escorted at all times.

  • Lost Key(s): Any lost key(s) is the responsibility of the requestor and/or the department at the cost of $50.00 per key.

  • Cancellation: Notify the Department of University Housing and Residence Life immediately of any changes or cancellations. Reservations not canceled 24 hours in advance of scheduled arrival date, will be subject to the full reservation fee. Once a key has been issued to a requestor, the suite is considered occupied and the appropriate department or individual will be billed.

  • Billing: The Department of University Housing and Residence Life will send an invoice to the requesting department or faculty/staff member. If the receipt or a copy of the transaction voucher is not received in the housing office, the bill will continue to show as outstanding.

  • Damages: The requestor and guests agree to take reasonable care of the suite and surrounding campus premises. The requestor and guest also agree to leave the suite in its original condition. Any necessary repairs resulting from damage will be the responsibility of the requestor and/or the department that submitted the request.

  • Suite Linens: The Department of University Housing and Residence Life provides minimal bed linens for use in the suites, and towels/wash cloths for use in the restrooms; however, the department will not provide additional linens, towels, or wash clothes during the duration of a stay. Laundry facilities are located just off the first floor lobby area in Patterson Hall. These facilities are available to all guests at a minimal cost.

  • Liability: The Department of University Housing and Residence Life shall not be liable for any claim arising from failure of the water supply, electrical current, or heating/cooling system; presence of vermin or insects; the loss, damage, or injury of guests, or the property of guests. However, the Department of University Housing and Residence Life does agree to exercise reasonable caution to safeguard the health and safety of each guest.

  • Right of Entry: The Department of University Housing and Residence Life reserves the right to enter any suite to inspect the premises for the purpose of management, safety, health, and maintenance of applicable rules and regulations.

  • Limited Facility Use: This agreement only governs the use of Patterson Hall suites. Separate arrangements for use of other facilities, such as meeting rooms or athletic fields, must be made through the appropriate departments.

  • Community Living: It should be noted that there may be other groups staying in the building at the same time of any guest's particular visit. It should also be noted that Patterson Hall is designed for college students who live and learn within the building on a year-round basis. Careful consideration should be given to their home.
All requestors and guests agree to abide by all standards, policies, quiet hours, and all closing regulations established by the staff of Patterson Hall, the Department of University Housing and Residence Life, and Jacksonville State University.
