The Jacksonville State University (JSU) housing community is comprised of eight residence halls and six apartment complexes. University Housing is offered within walking distance from the campus. A standard residence hall room includes two twin beds (with the exception of Sparkman Hall), two desks, two closets, two chests of drawers and two study lights. Every room is wired for telephone and cable connections. Custodial service is provided to clean public areas in the residence halls Monday thru Friday.
Housing Accommodations
Choosing University Housing and Residence Life means more than just putting a roof over your head. JSU strives to provide its students with pleasant, furnished facilities that include special features and extras. Jacksonville State University offers its residents with a variety of housing options from Residence Halls to On-Campus Apartments.
General Amenities for Residence Halls
ALL JSU residence halls provide telephone service, snack machines, and have coin-operated laundry facilities on site as well as free utilities and free Internet access through JSU. Security is provided by the University Police Department during the night and Resident Assistants work security during visitation hours.

Crow
Are you an incoming freshman male or male athlete? If so, then Crow Hall is the place to be. This traditional three story residence hall is located right behind Dixon Hall located on Forney Avenue. Residents can relax in the Crow Zone and enjoy a big screen television or catch up on homework on the Internet ready computers. Crow is also equipped with a coin-operated laundry room in the basement and well-kept community baths on every floor. Residents are allowed per room, one microwave under 1000 watts and one refrigerator that is no more than 4.2 cubic feet in holding size. Furnishings and amenities in double occupancy rooms include:

Daugette
If you are looking for a relaxed living environment with a diverse male population, Daugette Hall is the place for you! This time-honored all male hall is located at the heart of campus on Trustees Circle, with a great view of the Quad from one side and a terrific view of Paul Snow Stadium from the other. Residents can kick back in the lounge and experience the big screen television or use the Internet ready computers. Laundry facilities are available on the first and second floors. There are also four community baths are located throughout the hall. Residents are allowed per room, one microwave under 1000 watts and one refrigerator that is no more than 4.2 cubic feet in holding size. Furnishings and amenities in double occupancy rooms include:

Are you planning to "Go Greek" at JSU? Then Curtiss Hall is the place for you! Curtiss Hall is all female and home to our five Panhellenic sororities on campus. Fitzpatrick
Incoming freshman females are sure to have a fun-filled, memorable experience here at Fitzpatrick Hall. With specialized programming and activities galore, we are sure to help you "Fit in at Fitz!" This classic freshman female residence hall is located across from the Gamecocks' Paul Snow Stadium. Residents can enjoy Gamecock athletics on the big screen television located in the lounge or use the Internet ready computers to look up the latest JSU news. Laundry facilities are available in the basement and modish community baths are located on each floor of the hall. Are you a Marching Southerner? Then Dixon Hall, home of the Marching Southerners, is a place where you are sure to be among friends! This popular three story co-ed residence hall is located on Forney Avenue across from Self Hall. Sparkman
By allowing students to learn from a variety of cultures and ethnicities, Sparkman Hall provides a balanced college experience. This co-ed lucid suite style residence hall is composed of nine floors and equipped with an elevator. Sparkman Hall is located on Trustees Circle next to the Infirmary. Every two rooms are joined by a bathroom, with one person in each room. Residents can indulge in a big screen television or use the Internet ready computers located in the lounge. Laundry facilities are also located on each floor of this hall. Residents are allowed per room, one microwave under 1000 watts and one a refrigerator that is no more than 4.2 cubic feet in holding size. Furnishings and amenities in each single occupancy room include:

Logan
If an academic environment is what you're looking for, then check out Logan Hall! This spacious three-story, female residence hall is located on Rudy Abbott Highway (Highway 204). Residents can relax in the lounge and enjoy the big screen television or the Internet ready computers. There are bathrooms located in each double occupancy room and laundry facilities located on the first floor. Beginning Fall 2009, Logan Hall will house the female component of the new Freshman Year Experience. Freshmen females living on the third floor will participate in special activities designed to help students successfully transition from high school to college. Upper-class females may reside on the first and second floors. Upper-class requirements consist of at least 24 completed credit hours and a minimum grade point average of a 2.25. Female Faculty/Elite scholars may also reside in Logan Hall. Residents are allowed per room, one microwave under 1000 watts and one a refrigerator that is no more than 4.2 cubic feet in holding size. Furnishings and amenities in double occupancy rooms include:

JSU Owned Apartment Complexes - Descriptions
Are you an upperclassman looking for a little independence? Or maybe you're even married or have a few children? Then the apartment area is the perfect place to be!
Campus Inn
Campus Inn has efficiency and one-bedroom apartments available. Requirements for efficiency units are sophomore status at the time of application. Efficiency apartments consist of a living/bedroom combination, bathroom and kitchenette with a range. These apartments are furnished with a twin bed, a closet, a desk, a chair and a dresser. Requirements for one-bedroom units are sophomore status at the time of application. One-bedroom apartments consist of a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen with a refrigerator and a range. One-bedroom apartments are furnished with a twin bed, a closet, a desk, a chair and a dresser. Campus Inn has no laundry facility. Rent includes all utilities (electricity, water, sewer, trash, cable, Internet and telephone).

Penn House
Penn house has furnished one bedroom, one bathroom apartments available. Requirements are sophomore status at the time of application. These apartments consist of a bedroom, bathroom, living room, and kitchen and with a refrigerator and range. They come furnished with a full bed, a dresser, a sofa and a chair. Penn House does not have a laundry facility. Rent includes all utilities (electricity, water, sewer, trash, cable, Internet and telephone).

College Apartments
College Apartments have furnished one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments available. Requirements are sophomore status at the time of application. These apartments consist of a bedroom, bathroom, living room, and kitchen and with a refrigerator and range. They come furnished with a full bed, a dresser, a sofa and a chair. College Apartments do not have a laundry facility. Rent includes all utilities (electricity, water, sewer, trash, cable, Internet and telephone).

Pannell Hall

Jax Apartments
Jax Apartments have one and two bedroom unfurnished apartments available. Each apartment consists of a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen with a range and refrigerator. Families or married couples may reside at this complex. A copy of a marriage/birth certificate must accompany the application for family housing. Students with 96 hours and a 2.25 GPA may also reside at this complex. Rent includes all utilities (electricity, water, sewer, trash, cable, and Internet). Telephone services are not included at Jax Apartments.

Colonial Arms Apartments
Newly purchased Colonial Arms Apartments, located on Mountain Street beside Guthrie's restaurant, have two bedroom furnished apartments available. Students must have achieved sophomore status at the time of application in order to qualify for Colonial Arms. Each apartment consists of a living room, 1 or 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and kitchen, with a range and refrigerator. Furnishings include: twin bed and dresser in each bedroom, and a sofa and chair in the living room. In our 2 bedroom units, residents will share an apartment with a requested roommate of the same gender. If a roommate is not requested at the time of application, one will be assigned. Rent is per person and includes all utilities (electricity, water, sewer, trash, cable and Internet). Telephone services are not included at Colonial Arms Apartments.
