- Resident Assistant
Are you interested in an exciting job with great benefits and loads of FUN? Well, a resident assistant is all of that and more! Our Resident Assistants (RA) here at JSU have been selected and trained to work with other students. As an RA you will serve as a role model by being a team member, community builder, crisis manager, administrator, counselor, and educator. - Desk Assistant
Desk Assistants play a vital role in the everyday operation of our halls and apartment office. Some of the duties include: dispensing information, monitoring visitation and other services at the residence halls' and apartment area's desk. One of the great benefits of this position is the opportunity to study while you work! DAs normally work 12-15 hours per week depending on their work-study eligibility. If the DA position sounds right for you then you're just a click away! *Desk Assistants must qualify for federal work study program. Night Desk Assistants are considered University Aid workers and do not need to qualify for the federal work study program. *
- S.W.A.T.
Student Workers on Assigned Tasks (S.W.A.T.) are a valuable part of the University Housing and Residence Life team here at Jacksonville State University. S.W.A.T. is responsible for ensuring that any duties assigned to them are completed in a timely, efficient manner. Here are some examples of S.W.A.T responsibilities: Working outdoors in all weather conditions; Picking-up debris on campus grounds; Watering plants; Blowing debris with a leaf blower; Moving furniture to areas around campus; Cleaning apartments, offices, etc.; and All other duties as assigned.

- Residence Hall Association (RHA)
The Residence Hall Association is an organization designed to provide a voice for residents living in JSU residential communities. RHA has a campus-wide executive branch that represents each residential community. Members of RHA organize various events each year ranging from large-scale dances and concerts to debates, speakers and informal talks.
