GETTING INVOLVED

You will be provided many opportunities to get involved not only on campus but in the residence halls, too. Take advantage of these opportunities to meet others and become involved by attending campus and hall programs, becoming a RA, or serving on the Residence Hall Association (RHA) executive board.

Crow, Curtiss, Dixon, and Fitzpatrick Halls are Living-Learning Communities (LLC). These residence halls have programs that are geared specifically for the developmental needs of JSU’s first-year students. These programs offer students social and educational programs that allow for informal contact with faculty, staff, and fellow students, teaching students about campus resources and involvement opportunities, as well as addressing different issues that are applicable to first-year college students' development.

Program topics include: homesickness, roommate issues, time management, study skills, personal finance, campus involvement, wellness topics, service learning, goal setting, alcohol education, and relationship issues. Our program is called the COCKY Experience and as a member, you'll have the chance to find your place on JSU’s campus.
