MOVING IN ON CAMPUS
Students seeking university housing accommodations will apply online at: MyResCenterWeb.
A $150 nonrefundable application fee is required at the time of submission. You will need your MyJSU username and MyJSU password to apply for housing.
After you have completed the First-Year (Freshman) Resident or Transfer/New Upper-Class Resident application, you will be assigned to move into one of our many residential facilities at JSU. You will receive your assignment email based on when you submitted your application. May 1 is our priority deadline for fall applications and students who applied before this date will receive their assignment information around May 15.
For students who applied after May 1, we will send out assignment emails every two weeks beginning June 1. All information will be sent to your JSU email account and will contain your room assignment and roommate information (if applicable).
You may move into your fall assignment on the fall move-in date; for more details visit: JSU HOUSING.
You will report to the building where your fall assignment is located. Residents of the apartment area will report to the Apartment Office located in Pannell Hall. Residence life staff members will greet you and explain the check-in process to you. After completing the necessary steps, you will be able to move in your belongings and begin the process of making this your new home away from home.
You may want to learn more about the location you have been assigned.
The section - DWELL - will provide detailed information about each residential area.
Please visit JSU HOUSING for dates and closing information. Typically, students that are not graduating are required to move out by the last day of final exams for the spring semester.
You may arrive in Jacksonville before the residence halls and apartments open and will need to find temporary housing.
Transportation around campus and the
Jacksonville community is provided by the Gamecock Express.
Need a ride? There is no fee to ride the Gamecock Express! The Blue Route will take passengers to local stores within the community and you will have the opportunity to purchase any additional items for your room, such as groceries, toiletries, and decorations.
There are designated parking zones for residential students with their own vehicles. Vehicle registration is available 24 hours a day for all students. Parking permits are $25.00 per vehicle.
