Foreign Languages

Language Study expands the intellect and can actually improve one’s mental health. It enlightens our trips abroad and allows us to better understand our neighbors in the Western Hemisphere and across the world.  One can also expect a greater degree of career opportunities to come with a strong language foundation.  The value of an employee proficient in a foreign language cannot be overestimated in today’s borderless economy.  Language Skills allow us to better navigate the new economy of the Twenty-First Century.

Bachelor of Arts with majors available in French and Spanish

This degree is for those interested in seeking teaching certification in a foreign language teaching field. Students earning this degree must complete 36 hours of the same language, and meet the admission and retention requirements of the teacher education program.
