Graduate Certificate Programs
All programs are federal financial aid eligible, at this time, with the exception of Nursing Education.
- Emergency Management - This certificate provides students with graduate level instruction in Homeland Security, and balances conceptual knowledge in emergency management with skill acquisition in crisis management, hazard assessment and other analytic and management skills.
- Environmental Science Management - This certificate focuses on the application of biological, chemical, and physical principles to the study of the physical environment and the solution of environmental problems, including subjects such as abating or controlling environmental pollution and degradation; the interaction between human society and the natural environment; and natural resources management.
- Geographical Information Systems - This certificate focuses on the systematic study of map-making and the application of mathematical, computer, and other techniques to the analysis of large amounts of geographic data and the science of mapping geographic information.
- Nursing Education - The graduate certificate program in nursing education is designed to prepare nurses to teach in nursing and health professional programs, health care institutions and agencies, and in the community. The certificate provides nurses with essential knowledge and skills about teaching, program development, evaluation, clinical instruction, and other aspects of the educational process in nursing.
- Sport Management - This certificate prepares individuals to apply business, coaching and physical education principles to the organization, administration and management of athletic programs and teams, fitness/rehabilitation facilities and health clubs, sport recreation services, and related services.
