Applications may be made a year in advance of the expected date of enrollment. A minimum of three months before the beginning of the term is recommended. Applications will be valid for a period of two years. Anyone wishing to reapply after the two-year period must submit a new graduate admission application packet, along with the $30 application fee, and comply with new admission criteria, where appropriate. A $30 application fee will be required for all graduate admission applications submitted to Graduate Studies. This will include any returning students who have completed a graduate degree or certificate program.
The deadline for applications to most programs will be on or before the first day of classes for any given semester. First time enrollees for programs with an application deadline of the first day of classes for any given semester must seek immediate advisement as soon as possible to register for classes.
Programs with deadline dates for applications and receipt of all required application materials are listed below. Deadline dates for applications and receipt of all required application materials for the following programs are: July 1 for fall admission, November 1 for spring admission, and April 1 for summer admission.

Master of Science with a major in sport management
Master of Science in Psychology - Applicants for the Master of Science with a major in psychology are considered for admission for the fall semester only and all required application materials must be received by August 1. Applications received before April 15 will be given priority consideration. Applications completed after August 1 will be considered for admission in the fall semester of the following year.
Master of Fine Arts in visual communication and design – Applicants for the Master of Fine Arts with a major in visual communication and design are considered for admission for the fall semester only. Fall applications are accepted on an ongoing basis with the review process starting in mid-January.
Doctor of Science with a major in emergency management – Applicants for the Doctor of Science with a major in emergency management are considered for admission for the fall semester only. Fall applications are accepted with a deadline of March 31.
In programs that do not have an application deadline date, applicants who have submitted an application for admission may be permitted to enroll for one semester of graduate course work, with the permission of the graduate coordinator of their program, while completing all other application requirements. Please refer to each program section of this Bulletin for program application and admission requirements. The student will not be allowed to register or pre-register for subsequent semesters until all application requirements have been completed and the student is admitted to graduate studies.
A student is admitted to and may be completing requirements for only one degree or graduate certificate at a time.
