An international student is anyone who is not a U.S. citizen, or classified as a permanent resident of the United States.
International students who seek admission must hold either a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or a degree equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution.
All international students must meet the requirements for unconditional admission; international students are not eligible for conditional admission. Please submit all of the following information to the College of Graduate Studies.
If English is not the applicant’s native language, the applicant is required to submit an official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score report or an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score report or the Pearson Test of English PTE.
A minimum score of 500 on the paper-based TOEFL, 173 on the computer-based TOEFL, or 61 on the internet-based TOEFL is required for admission. A minimum score of 5.5 on the IELTS is required for admission. A minimum score of 45 on the PTE is required for admission. The TOEFL, IELTS, or the PTE are not required for international students who have earned a bachelor’s degree from a United States regionally accredited institution.
