Dr. Kimberly Warfield

Assistant Professor of Instructional Leadership

Dr. Warfield is a Mississippi native who joined the Department of Educational Resources in 2015 and currently teaches in the Instructional Leadership Program.  Prior to joining the School of Education, Dr. Warfield served as Principal from 2012-2015 and the Curriculum and Instruction Assistant Principal from 2007-2012 at Forest Hill High School in the Jackson Public School District in Jackson, MS.  During her tenure there, she was actively involved in being an instructional leader, mentoring and nurturing future leaders, preparing students for academic success, and building relationships with the staff, the parents and the community members. 

In addition to her administrative experience, Dr. Warfield spent several years in the classroom as a life science teacher.  As an educator, Dr. Warfield is continuously seeking creative ways to foster dynamic learning environments, promote high quality instruction, and provide practical experiences and mentor future instructional leaders. 

Dr. Warfield obtained her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biology from Jackson State University in Jackson, MS and her Ed.S and Ed.D. degrees in Educational Leadership/Administration from Mississippi College in Clinton, MS.
