PRO has historically assisted in hosting or sponsoring many campus events, including the annual Communication Alumni Brunch/Luncheon during homecoming week, and the department's Award Luncheon during Communication Week (typically held each Spring semester during April).
Peer mentoring is one of several benefits of joining this student organization. The Public Relations Organization is arguably the most active for communication students at JSU. They strive to provide opportunities for student enhancement including mock portfolio review sessions and job interviews and interact with both student and local media outlets whenever possible, "spreading the word" about events/activities through campus press releases and social media.
PRO holds meetings every Tuesday at 5:00pm in 174 Self Hall. For more information about becoming a member, please contact current PRO president Alexandria Rainwater at email@example.com or co-advisor Dr. Jeffrey Hedrick. Visit the current member site on facebook.
