Requirements for Student Teaching/Internship in the Teacher Education Program

  • Minimum 2.5 GPA (3.0 for Alternative Fifth Year Certification) on all courses attempted, all Professional Education courses, and all Teaching Field courses.
  • A minimum grade of "C" is required on all Teaching Field and Professional Studies courses.
  • English Competency Exam (ECE) - passing score required
  • PRAXIS II - The test measures subject-specific knowledge and teaching skills. A passing score must be achieved prior to admission to the internship.
