TIME SENSITIVE TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

APTTP Test - there are only two test dates available in 2012 for students to take the APTTP in order to have their scores to us in time for fall 2012 admission. Those test dates are March 3 (registration deadline is February 3), and May 19 (registration deadline is April 20). If they wait to take APTTP in July, we WILL NOT have results prior to admission and the beginning of fall 2012 semester.

If students plan to be admitted to the education program for May semester, they must take the APTTP March 3.

Background clearance - It takes between two to six weeks to receive results for background clearance. Students should complete this by mid-July for fall 2012 admission. Please advise students that a letter of suitability will be mailed to them from the Alabama State Department of Education and it is their responsibility to bring a copy to the Teacher Service Center.
