    Telephone Center Long Distance

    100 minutes of Long Distance Telephone Service is provided to all JSU students residing in University Housing. You can obtain your personal PIN number through the student access system.

    100 minutes (each month) of domestic long distance service is provided to each student living in university housing as part of your housing lease agreement. There will be NO additional charge for the first 100 minutes of domestic long distance used each month. Each additional domestic long distance minutes will be billed at only .05 per minute.

    A PIN is assigned exclusively to you at no cost and is not intended to be shared with anyone else. If your PIN is lost or you suspect it has been stolen, please contact the Telephone Center immediately to terminate the code and get a replacement.


    To make a long distance call dial 16 + your six digit long distance code, 9 + 1 + area code + desired phone number.

    Students are E-mailed an itemized monthly statement of all calls over the first 100 minutes. Bills are to be paid in the Bursar's Office on the second floor of Bibb Graves Hall.

    There is a $100.00 credit limit on the long distance telephone service. If you reach this limit during the current month, your service will be suspended and you will be notified. After payment is made and the telephone center is notified, your service will be reinstated. Students that use JSU's long distance calling plan and move from University housing to an off campus address should terminate that account at the Telephone Center.
