Telephone Center Billing Dates
Free minutes of long distance service Each billing cycle students living in university housing receive 100 free minutes of domestic long distance phone service.
Any additional minutes are .05 cents each.
To obtain your long distance 6 digit access code go to the student access system on the web. Choose the housing option and enter the current semester and year. Once you enter this information your long distance code will be at the bottom of the page. You may also obtain your long distance code by going to the Telephone Center and showing your student ID card.
To dial long distance: From your campus phone dial 16 plus your 6 digit code and then 9+1 and the area code and desired phone number.
Your 100 free minutes begin on each of the following dates:
July 30, 2008 August 20, 2008 September 16, 2008 October 21, 2008 November 18, 2008 December 16, 2008
You will have the same long distance code each semester you are a student at JSU. DO NOT share your code with anyone. You are responsible for ALL calls made using your code.
DO NOT use your long distance code to dial local numbers. If you are unsure if a number is local check the Calhoun County phone directory in your room or call the Telephone Center. To dial a local number simply dial 9 plus the desired number. To dial an on-campus number just dial the last four digits.
If you have any questions please call the Telephone Center extension 8001 or 5990 Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30. We are located in Bibb Graves Hall room 117 on the 1st floor.
