Update to JSU Web Page Policy Date: 12/11/2002 Subject: Update to JSU Web Page Policy The SACS Self-Study Steering Committee has brought to our attention that some JSU web pages contain content that is out of date. The University Manual of Policies and Procedures (IV:08:01) requires that web pages be reviewed on a monthly basis. Each month Web Site Requesters and Page Masters will be sent an email notification for pages that have not been reviewed within the past thirty days and a second notice for pages that have not been reviewed within the past sixty days. Pages that have not been reviewed within the past ninety days will be deactivated. Enforcement of this policy has been lenient in the past. It is important that we enforce the policy to insure that web content is kept current. Therefore, the following implementation schedule will be followed to help insure that web pages are kept up-to-date:January 15, 2003
February 15, 2003
March 15 and 15th of each month thereafter
Method of coding files as being current As you probably know, files are uploaded with an FTP client such as WS_FTP. By uploading your files, you are indicating that the content of the files has been reviewed and is current. Please be sure to verify that the page content is up-to-date before uploading each file. Thank you for your cooperation as we work together to improve the JSU web site. |
