    In meeting the needs of the 21st century, Jacksonville State University is committed to developing courses for online distribution.

    Requirements:  Students may be required to access the Blackboard and JSU Email systems.  Please review the System Requirements for Blackboard.

    Notes

    • Taking examinations in online courses - You may be required to identify a testing agent or proctor in your region.  Your instructor should provide more details on this matter once you begin taking a course.  For more information on proctoring, review Proctoring Information or contact your instructor.
    • Unless otherwise notified, Online Course students are expected to begin work on their course on the first day of the term.
    • Blackboard is the primary method used by instructors for presenting online course content.  If you are unable to locate your course in Blackboard, you may contact your instructor for more information.
    • If provided, follow any additional instructions given by the instructor regarding initial steps for getting started in your Online Course.
