- Memory: Minimum 512 MB RAM, 200 MB of free disk space. (If you have minimal RAM, you may not be able to run other programs at the same time you are using Blackboard, especially the Collaboration tools in Blackboard.)
- Processor speed: 233 MHz minimum, 500 MHz or higher recommended; (Pentium recommended for Windows OS; Intel or PowerPC G4 or G5 processor recommended for Mac OS.)
- Internet connection: 56 K modem or better. High speed wired connections work best (such as cable or DSL). Wireless connections tend to be unstable, especially for taking exams and submitting assignments, so wireless connections are not recommended.
- Monitor: An SVGA monitor capable of at least 800 x 600 resolution is recommended.
- Mail preferences in your chosen email program may need to be set to open "Mail To" commands for certain email links within Blackboard to function properly.
- Your computer should meet minimum specifications for the browser and OS installed. Refer to the web site for your browser and/or OS for this information.
The information above may be revised as the software is upgraded and new information becomes available.
