Jacksonville State University is subject to the requirements of the
State of Alabama
Competitive Bid Law. This law requires that all purchases and/or
contracts for labor, services, materials, equipment, and supplies
within the fiscal year that will total $7,500 or more must be
bid. Competitive, sealed bids shall be requested by the Office of
Purchasing on any item or group of like items costing $7,500 or more
annually. Vendors have approximately two weeks from the time
bid requests are sent out to submit bids to the Office of
Purchasing. Bids received will be opened by the Director of Purchasing
(or his/her designee) at the date and time established in the bid
specifications.
