Research Interests

Broadly stated, my research has focused on the environmental, pharmacological, and genetic factors that affect behavior. Recently, my research has included studies on the behavioral pharmacology of antipsychotic drugs, the behavioral genetics of inbred mice, and the human behavioral pharmacology of substance abuse. Over the last couple of years, I have become increasingly interested in applying concepts and procedures from behavioral economics and behavioral ecology to better understand human choice and behavioral decision making.

Service and Professional Interests

I have reviewed articles for journals that publish work in behavior analysis, including the Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior, The Behavior Analyst, and Behavioural Processes. I am an active member of the Society for Quantitative Analyses of Behavior and the Association for Behavior Analysis. I was co-chair of the psychology department's search committee and currently serve on various other committees as well.
