Research Interests

Broadly stated, my research has focused on the environmental, pharmacological, and genetic factors that affect behavior. Recently, my research has included studies on the behavioral pharmacology of antipsychotic drugs, the behavioral genetics of inbred mice, and the human behavioral pharmacology of substance abuse. Over the past year, I have become increasingly interested in applying methods derived from behavioral economics and behavioral ecology to better understand choice and behavioral decision making, particularly in drug-dependent populations.

Service and Professional Interests

I have reviewed many articles for journals that publish work in behavior analysis, including The Behavior Analyst and The Psychological Record. I am an active member of the Society for Quantitative Analyses of Behavior and the Association for Behavior Analysis. Currently, I am co-chair of the psychology department’s search committee and I serve on various other departmental committees as well.
