The goal of the experimental methods course is to help students learn how to read, understand, conduct, and write-up empirical research in psychology. Students enrolled in this course are STRONGLY encouraged to enroll simultaneously in the lab section (PSY 310L) since the lab section will focus on actually conducting and writing up research. The course will focus on the ethical considerations, reliability and validity issues, and different types of designs used in psychological research.
